In November, 1989 Czechoslovakia became a democracy again. Later, two separate nations were formed in 1993, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Czechoslovakia was a multi-ethnic country. It consisted of a population of various ethnicities like Czechs who were 51 per cent, Germans 22 per cent, Slovaks 16 per cent, Hungarians 5 per cent, and Rusyns 4 per cent.
