Difference Between Honda Accord and Scion tC

There are numerous automobiles in the automotive market. Amongst them, Sedans and hatchbacks fall under “passenger cars”. A passenger car is a vehicle, besides a motorcycle, that is meant to carry passengers and seats no more than nine people. Both Honda Accord and Scion tC fall under passenger cars.

Honda Accord vs Scion tC

The main difference between Honda Accord and Scion tC is their purpose of use. Although both are passenger cars, the Honda Accord is a modern Sedan while Scion tC is an entry level sports hatchback. A sedan is a three-box passenger car with four doors and a distinct trunk. A hatchback is a compact passenger car that resembles a sedan but has a hatch-style rear door rather than a separate compartment. The only significant difference between them is their trunk. The hatchback lacks a partition between the rear seats and the baggage area, but the sedan’s cargo capacity is divided by a compartment.

The Honda Accord is a series of sedans produced by Honda as of 1976. It is known primarily for its four-door sedan model, one of the best-selling cars in the United States since 1989. Honda’s Accord Hybrid is the company’s first premium vehicle in years. It’s also the company’s first effort at providing an environmentally friendly alternative to the diesel crowd.

The Scion tC is a compact automobile produced by Toyota under the Scion label from 2004 to 2016. It was available in two generations: ANT10 (2004–10) and AGT20 (2010–16). The tC was released initially in the United States in 2005. The tC was Scion’s best-selling car, accounting for over 40% of all Scion sales.
